White pepper
Pepper gives a pleasant peppery flavor to pale foods. White pepper comes from the fruit of the perennial Piper nigrum vine. The fruit is picked early for its color and loosened from its outer skin by a long process of soaking in water. It has a smoother and more delicate flavor than black pepper.
White pepper is just the seed of the fruit with the skin removed while black pepper is the whole dried fruit.
