hydrosol, also called *floral water* comes from the cooled water vapor collected by the distillation process of lavender.<\/p><p><strong>Type of lavender used:<\/strong> The type of lavender used for the distillation of the lavender hydrosol is French lavender, also called fine lavender, true lavender, officinale lavender or Lavandula angustifolia.<\/p><p><strong>Composition:<\/strong> Lavender *lavandula angustifolia* is composed of linalol, linalyl acetate, terpiene-4, (known for its antiseptic properties) lavandulol, flavonoids, tannins, coumarins (natural aromatic substance)<\/p><p><strong>Extraction process:<\/strong> Lavender hydrosol is obtained by distillation by steam distillation. This extraction process is a process that dates back centuries. The distillation apparatus we use is a replica of the distillers used in the 17th century. (apart from the thermometer!),<\/p><p>During distillation, the water vapor charged with aromatic molecules condenses into a liquid which separates into two elements:<\/p><ul><li>\u00a0the water-insoluble essential oil of lavender floats on the upper part,<\/li><li>\u00a0lavender hydrosol, aqueous solution, containing a low concentration of lavender essential oil.<\/li><\/ul><p>At Les Jardins ar\u00f4mes &amp; saveurs, we use spring water and naturally grown lavender, without fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides.<\/p><p>We valorize the distillation residues by using them as compost for the soil amendment of the gardens \/ fine herbs section.<\/p><p><strong>The benefits of lavender hydrosol:<\/strong> Our lavender hydrosol comes in a metal container with an atomizer to spray the lavender hydrosol on the surface of the skin to refresh or relieve.<\/p><p><strong>Lavender hydrosol is known for its antiseptic and regenerating properties:<\/strong> It is used to take care of combination to oily skin, dull and tired skin, acne-prone skin and sensitive skin.<\/p><p><strong>Regenerative:<\/strong> It promotes cell renewal, allowing the skin to revitalize itself and to tone the epidermis. Thanks to its repairing action, it promotes the healing of cutaneous imperfections caused by pimples<\/p><p><strong>Skin care &#8211; cleansing effect:<\/strong> It purifies the skin and deeply cleanses, removing impurities that clog the pores of the skin. It cleanses the epidermis while softening and leaves a fresh relaxing scent. Lavender hydrosol can also be used as a cleanser before applying skin care.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Use: Apply the lavender hydrosol on a wadding or cotton pad to the entire face morning and\/or evening. Complete the treatment by applying your serum or skin cream.<\/p><p><strong>Hair care &#8211; sanitizing the scalp:<\/strong> Lavender hydrosol sanitizes oily scalps.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">How to use: Apply to freshly washed, still damp hair<\/p><p><strong>Skin irritation &#8211; Minor burns and sunburn &#8211; Soothing:<\/strong> Due to its antiseptic properties and its freshness, it relieves superficial burns caused by sunburn.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Use: apply as an atomizer to the area to be relieved<\/p><p><strong>Preservation:<\/strong> Our lavender hydrosol is pure, natural and without preservatives. We recommend that you store it in the refrigerator and use it quickly after opening, at the latest within 6 months of its first use.<\/p><p><strong>Contraindication:<\/strong> There is no contraindication to the use of lavender hydrosol, compared to its essential oil. Lavender hydrosol can be used by pregnant women, breastfeeding women or young children.<\/p><p><em>However, lavender hydrosol is used topically.
